Intellectual Property Committee
The Intellectual Property Committee has been active in law reform of Australia’s intellectual property system for over 40 years. It comprises barristers, solicitors and academic scholars who, through its various sub-committees, debate and contribute to the process of law reform across all aspects of intellectual property law. The Intellectual Property Committee is actively engaged with Australia’s national IP office, IP Australia, through its various stakeholder forums, to help shape policy debate on intellectual property law reform.
Representatives from the Intellectual Property Committee also sit as members of the Federal Court of Australia’s IP Users’ Group, to discuss with the judiciary the particular challenges raised by intellectual property disputes and how best they might be addressed between the profession and the Court.
